A short-wheelbase panel van and a loaded Luton do not present the same recovery job. Include the make, model, body style, approximate weight and whether the load can be removed. If you know the vehicle’s gross weight, add it to the notes. We check capacity and suitability before confirming a truck.

Collections from yards, business parks and streets

Manchester commercial collections can involve service yards, delivery restrictions, height barriers and access controlled by a site manager. Give the exact entrance, contact person and any collection window. On a narrow street, describe parked vehicles or obstacles around the van.

If the van is on a motorway or major road, share the road number, direction and exact stopping location when safe. Do not stand near moving traffic to take a photograph or check the van’s condition.

Loading information that helps us send the right equipment

Tell us whether the van starts and drives, rolls freely, selects neutral and releases the handbrake. Always mention damaged, missing or locked wheels, axle problems or a puncture. An accurate description helps the operator assess loading requirements.
